2001-08-03 - 10:44 p.m. An evening of honey and a naked woman. I saw Karen Finley today – a one-woman show/performance art – with a friend of mine. She was one of the first people to stand up to Jesse Helm and the bastards against giving money to the NEA…basically, against everything that Guiliani stands for. It was really great…just good. Fun. Funny. And eye-opening, for me. I’ve seen naked women, but never been in the same room as they prance around naked and slather around in a half-inch of honey. It was so liberating, and as I result I became so much more at peace with my body. She was so sexy. Red-headed, all the way through, older, thin, but jiggly…and it was “okay”. She was sexiest because she was able to joke about her flab, pinching it around her waist. I even got up on stage with two guys and helped her pour the honey from pitchers onto the stage, and licked it off the spout with her. I was an audience participator. She’s about my height, which I realized once I was up there and stood next to her—her in a thong and a cardigan sweater. One line that I want to get into writing – a joke I hadn’t heard at least – “…I wanted to point out to him that the country is now run by a Colin, Dick and a Bush”. Hee hee. That’s all for today.
